Connecting Solo Travelers (Pilot in 2026: 28-30 August)

These weekend retreats are designed to fit easily into your work schedule — two nights from Friday to Sunday.You simply organize your travel to Zermatt, and from the moment you arrive, everything is taken care of. Each location has been carefully selected to offer an authentic and local experience. All you need to do is relax, unwind, and enjoy unforgettable days in nature, surrounded by Switzerland’s most iconic peaks.

This trip is designed to connect people in a truly special place — Zermatt.
Zermatt is a car free town located at the foot of the Matterhorn. It attracts people who appreciate beauty, adventure, great food and wine. It’s a place where connections feel effortless, and sometimes even a little magical.

Whether you’re hoping to meet a potential partner or simply meet new friends, this experience offers a unique opportunity to socialize while enjoying the breathtaking alpine setting and iconic Matterhorn.
The group size is limited to 15 people and you should sign up for it if you are looking to meet other people who love the mountains and are passionate about culinary experiences combined with easy to moderate hikes.

What is included? The package includes 2 nights at a 4* Hotel in Zermatt, Funicular Return Train Ticket, Reservation at Chez Vrony including a 3-course lunch menu, and wine pairing, 3-course dinner and wine paring at Alex Wine cellar, a schedule for each day, concierge-service during the time you are in Zermatt to organize any other activities you would like to do.

Cancellation policy: The event will be refunded as follows in the event of cancellation by the participant:
- more than 4 weeks prior to the event 100%, between 4-2 weeks before the event 50%, between 2-1 week before the event 25%, less than 1 week before the event no refund.

Day 1 - 28th August 2026

Welcome Dinner and Wine Tasting

After your scenic train ride to Zermatt, arrival and checkin to your hotel, we will meet a 6:00 pm at the most beautiful wine bar in Zermatt to officially kick off the weekend. This intimate, fire-lit setting is the perfect place to slow down, connect, and get to know each other over a delicious 3-course dinner with wine pairing.

The wines for the evening will be personally selected by my husband — conductor, wine enthusiast, and passionate storyteller — who will also host a fun and playful “mystery wine” tasting game. A cozy and delicious start to our celebration weekend.

To make the first connections effortless, everyone will receive a one-pager with a short intro to everyone — the perfect little cheat sheet for conversation starters!

Day 2 - 29th August 2026

Express Funicular and Lunch at Chez Vrony

In the morning you are free to enjoy a breakfast, stroll through the streets of Zermatt or enjoy the hotel’s spa offerings. At 11:00 am, we meet  at Hotel Bar ZerMAMA for a coffee before starting our adventure of the day.

Our destination is the traditional mountain restaurant Chez Vrony in Findeln, a dreamy place at 2’100m altitude with breathtaking views of the Matterhorn. We will take the the Sunnegga Express Funicular up to Sunnegga station from which it is a pleasant 30-40 minute walk downhill through the hamlet of Findeln to Chez Vrony. 

We will be welcomed by Vrony, Max and their team, who are the perfect hosts, glowing with genuine warmth and hospitality. We will spend some unforgettable, happy and culinary moments with local produced foods and wines and with a breathtaking view to the Matterhorn.

The evening is intentionally open and flexible — but we’ll begin together with a glass of Champagne at Elsie’s. After that, you’re free to follow your own rhythm: enjoy a cozy dinner, book a relaxing spa moment, explore Zermatt’s charming streets, or continue the night with new friends. We’ll share curated recommendations so you can choose what suits you best — whether that’s something social, something quiet, or something spontaneous.

Day 3 - 30th August 2026

Easy Hike & Farewell-Lunch at Blatten

After a restful night and breakfast, we will meet at Kirchplatz at 11am for a beautiful hike to the Mountain Restaurant Blatten. The restaurant is easily accessible on foot: an idyllic hiking trail leads through the beautiful mountain landscape to the restaurant in about 45 minutes.

Since the mid-1800s, Blatten has embodied Zermatt’s spirit of hospitality. What began as a humble tea house run by the Julen family has evolved into a cherished mountain restaurant, blending tradition with understated elegance. Every day, xxx and their team prepare fresh products, with much respect and love. During summer their gardens offer a rich variety of organic grown herbs, vegetables and green salads. A visit to Blatten is more than a meal — it’s a taste of Zermatt’s living history.

At around 2pm, we will make our way back to Zermatt from where you can start your way back home, with a heart full of beautiful memories, new friends and maybe even your new life partner.
